Gone fishin’
Today, is the first day of SPRING! In true Northern Michigan fashion, the heavy snow and slick conditions early this morning closed school and added another day to Spring Break week!
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up-I will be enjoying some time with my family next week and not posting.
The last few weeks, we have focused on telling success stories of Harbor Springs. Particularly, we have been focused on our students.
Wow! Have you all responded!
In the last 14 days, this little Facebook page has received 11,722 views. Up 6,500 from the previous two weeks. Nearly 75% our visitors are from the Harbor Springs area. Almost all who follow the page call Harbor Springs home.
Speaking followers, we've added to the group and our engagement was up nearly 200% from earlier in the month. It is amazing and humbling that 1,384 of you took the time to like, click, comment or share a post in the last two weeks.
Now, Facebook analytics are a bunch of mumbo jumbo, but what I can see is that there is real momentum and affinity for the positive stories that celebrate our hometown and the people who live, work and play here.
Here in Harbor Springs, we are far more than zoning codes. We are innovators and mentors. We are kind souls and fierce competitors. We are snow shovelers, snow farmers, ice boats sailors, and Soaker Cup skiers. We are good neighbors and we are Champions!
And, even though there is snow this morning, today we can say we are survivors of another winter together and are ready to tackle the spring.
Have a great Spring Break, friends! Spring is our time-after all, it's right there in our name, Harbor Springs. Take a little time to shake off the frost and pat one another on the back. Last but not least, a very sincere thank you from me, Lil' Nubbins, and our whole family for all your kindness and support!
Happy Spring! Go Rams!
